WebEaling Shared Lives (ESL) is an adult placement service, which recruits, assesses and trains carers to provide support and accommodation to adults with additional needs who live in Ealing, either on a long-term basis, becoming a part of the family, or for short breaks. Ealing Shared Lives is a Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered service . WebEaling has an estimated 35,000 adult carers providing unpaid, informal care. The Census 2011 indicated that 8.5% of Ealing residents provide unpaid care to a friend, relative or neighbour. Based on national research it is estimated that there may be more than 4,000 young carers aged under 18 in Ealing.
